Battery Test Engineer

Battery Test Engineer, battery testing and validation activities

20.1.2025

We are recruiting new superheroes in our R&D team! If you want to work with an innovative high-power battery technology and if you feel like you can help us to take it to the next level, then we are waiting just for you!

What is this job about?

By joining Geyser as a Battery Test Engineer, you will be responsible for battery testing and validation activities. We know that there is a whole journey from an idea to a final product, and before the product reaches the customer, it needs to be tested and validated. In this job, you will design the test protocols, perform the tests and work closely with our R&D and product development teams to ensure the product performance. You are someone who knows how to work with statistical data and who is willing to learn and challenge yourself. To succeed in this position, you should have experience in testing and validation of battery or supercapacitor cells and modules and have a knowledge of the relevant equipment. However, if you believe that you have a translatable testing experience from another industry, we’d also like to hear from you.

In this position your daily task list at Geyser Batteries could consist of:

  • Designing and implementing test protocols for cells and cellblocks, aligning with industry standards.

  • Developing and maintaining measurement methods and tools for consistent data collection.

  • Setting up and executing performance, reliability, and safety tests (e.g., capacity, cycle life, thermal runaway).

  • Analysing test data, identifying trends or anomalies, and recommending design/process improvements.

  • Conducting root cause analyses to diagnose performance issues in prototypes.

  • Maintaining, calibrating and troubleshooting of test equipment with vendors and service providers.

  • Supporting design-of-experiments (DOE) efforts to refine testing and improve processes.

  • Staying updated on newest progress in battery testing methods and recommending new technologies.

  • Contributing to the development and testing of Battery Management Systems (BMS).

  • Collaborating on battery module development and prototype assembly tasks.

  • Documentation and reporting of test results and cooperating with external partners as needed.

If you see that this could be your day, be sure to apply. While we appreciate your university/college degree in the field of electrical engineering, we are even more interested in you and your ideas and skills. Excellent English written and oral communication skills are a must to be considered for this position.
